From the “24 Hours with Kings” collection, this silk scarf depicts the architectural floor plan of the ancient Baths of Diocletian.
Known in Latin as Thermae Diocletiani, these monumental Roman baths were constructed between AD 298 and 306 and remain the largest ever built in the empire.
Originally commissioned by Emperor Maximian and later completed under Constantius (father of Constantine), the complex embodied imperial scale, discipline, and refined ritual — qualities echoed in this design.
Rendered on a 35.5" × 35.5" silk satin, the illustration celebrates both history and craftsmanship, finished with a delicate 3-thread overlock.
